Add some spice to your Hardcore Challenge
by completing achievements throughout your journey.

Power from within

Complete the Hardcore challenge without getting any World Buffs. World Buffs are: Warchief’s Blessing, Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer, and Spirit of Zandalar. If you get a World Buff by accident, click it off as soon as possible. Darkmoon Faire Fortune Buffs and Songflowers are allowed.

Nudist

Complete the Hardcore challenge naked (no armor, no amulets, no rings, and no trinkets). Weapons, shields, and bags are allowed. Upon logging in, unequip every armor piece.

Scavenger

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using, consuming, or equipping an item that you have not looted from a mob, chest, or loot container, or crafted or conjured yourself. You are not allowed to ever buy any items from vendors, nor use, consume, or equip items rewarded by a quest (items provided for a quest can be used, consumed, or equipped). This includes consumables, projectiles, trade goods, and containers. All items you start with can be used, consumed, and equipped, including Hearthstone.

Grounded

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using a mount, flight path, or portal. Zeppelins and ships can be used.

King of the Jungle

Complete the Hardcore challenge after killing King Bangalash and having completed the Big Game Hunter quest before reaching level 40.

Humanist

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point killing an NPC of the type Humanoid. Killing is considered any action that gives your character kill credit (experience, eligibility to loot, or quest progress). 

Speedrunner

Complete the Hardcore challenge in less than 100 hours (4 days and 4 hours) of played time. Make sure to show your /played time when you hit 60. The run must be completed within eight weeks of real time. You are NOT allowed to log off in rested areas.

Partner up!

Complete the Hardcore challenge in a group of two. Read the rules, if you want to know more about Hardcore Duos. For all Achievements within the General category, your duo is considered one character (i.e. the achievement’s rules apply to both of you as if you were one character).

Solitary Struggle

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point joining a group for a dungeon. Entering a dungeon alone is allowed.

White Knight

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point equipping an item that is of Green, Blue, or Purple quality. Only White and Gray items are allowed. Bags are equipped items.

Vagrant

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using the Bank or a Hearthstone. No item can be stored in your character’s bank account.

Bloodbath

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point completing a quest. No exceptions.

Ephemeral

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point repairing the Durability of an item. The Repair function of NPCs is not allowed to be used.

Tunnel Vision

Complete the Hardcore challenge entirely in first person view. Upon logging in, zoom your camera into first person and never zoom out again.

Insane in the Membrane

Complete the Hardcore challenge on a PvP or RPPvP realm. Dying to enemy players does count as a death.

Nobody got time for that

Complete the Hardcore challenge without learning or using any professions. Secondary professions such as Cooking, Fishing and First Aid are not allowed. Lockpicking, Poisons, and Beast Training are class skills, not professions.

Self-Made

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point equipping an item that you have not crafted yourself. Items your character has conjured (e.g. Firestones) are considered crafted. No items bought, dropped, or rewarded by quests are allowed to be equipped (items provided for a quest can be equipped). The items your character starts with are allowed to be equipped. Bags are equipped items.

Not So Talented

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point applying a talent point. No talents are allowed.

No Health Potions

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point consuming a health potion (items with ‘Healing Potion’ in their name). Items that restore health which are not Healing Potions (e.g. Healthstones or Crystal Restore) can be used.

Homebound

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point leaving the continent on which your character has started. If you started in Kalimdor, you may at no point enter the Eastern Kingdoms. If you started in the Eastern Kingdoms, you may at no point enter Kalimdor.

Animal Friend

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point killing an NPC of the type Beast. Killing is considered any action that gives your character kill credit (experience, eligibility to loot, or quest progress). 

Hunter

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point resurrecting your pet. If your pet dies for any reason, you have to release it and tame another one.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using a ranged weapon attack (any ability requiring a ranged weapon to be equipped). Upon logging in, unequip your ranged weapon and quiver and never equip a new one. Throwing weapons are not allowed.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point taming a Hunter pet. Items and quests that make you spawn companions are allowed.

Mage

Complete the Hardcore challenge using only abilities within the “Fire” (and “General”) tab of your spellbook. No spells outside of those listed under “Fire” or “General” are allowed. You are allowed to put points into all talent trees, but active abilities thus unlocked that are not in the “Fire” tab of your spellbook are not allowed to be used.

Complete the Hardcore challenge using only abilities within the “Frost” (and “General”) tab of your spellbook. No spells outside of those listed under “Frost” or “General” are allowed. You are allowed to put points into all talent trees, but active abilities thus unlocked that are not in the “Frost” tab of your spellbook are not allowed to be used.

Complete the Hardcore challenge using only abilities within the “Arcane” (and “General”) tab of your spellbook. No spells outside of those listed under “Arcane” or “General” are allowed. You are allowed to put points into all talent trees, but active abilities thus unlocked that are not in the “Arcane” tab of your spellbook are not allowed to be used.

Warlock

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point summoning a demon other than the Imp.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using an ability that deals damage other than Fire. Spells and Demon abilities that deal Shadow damage are not allowed. All items and consumables that deal damage other than Fire are allowed.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using an ability that deals damage other than Shadow. Spells and Demon abilities that deal Fire damage are not allowed. All items and consumables that deal damage other than Shadow are allowed.

Shaman

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point summoning a Totem.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using an ability that deals damage other than Nature. Spells, weapon enhancements, or totems that deal Fire or Frost damage are not allowed. All items and consumables that deal damage other than Nature are allowed.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using an ability with a cast time. Only instant spells are allowed. If Nature’s Swiftness makes a spell instant, that spell is allowed to be cast. All items with a cast time (e.g. Hearthstones) are allowed.

Rogue

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using Stealth, Shadowmeld or Vanish. Invisibility potions are allowed.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using Poisons. Sharpening stones, weapon oils, enchants, and other weapon enhancements are allowed. Create Blinding Powder is a Poisons ability and as such not allowed. Blinding Powder acquired through other means (e.g. Pick Pocket) can be used.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point equipping a melee weapon other than Daggers. 

Warrior

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using a stance other than Battle Stance. Switching to Defensive Stance or Berserker Stance is not allowed.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point wielding a two-handed melee weapon or dual wielding. If your race starts with a two-handed weapon, unequip it upon logging in.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point equipping Mail or Plate armor or a Shield. Only cloth and leather armor are allowed. If your race starts with a Shield, unequip it upon logging in.

Druid

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using an ability within the “Balance” tab of your spellbook or using any form other than Bear Form or Dire Bear Form. Only spells listed under “Feral Combat”, “Restoration”, or “General” are allowed. You are allowed to put points into all talent trees, but active abilities thus unlocked that are in the “Balance” tab of your spellbook are not allowed to be used. Teleport: Moonglade is allowed to be used. Travel Form and Aquatic Form are not allowed.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using a shape shifting ability. Travel Form and Aquatic Form are not allowed. Items and quests that make you change your form are allowed.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using an ability within the “Restoration” tab of your spellbook. Only spells listed under “Feral Combat”, “Balance”, or “General” are allowed. You are allowed to put points into all talent trees, but active abilities thus unlocked that are in the “Restoration” tab of your spellbook are not allowed to be used.

Priest

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using an ability within the “Shadow Magic” tab of your spellbook. Only spells listed under “Holy”, “Discipline”, or “General” are allowed. You are allowed to put points into all talent trees, but active abilities thus unlocked that are in the “Shadow Magic” tab of your spellbook are not allowed to be used.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using an ability within the “Holy” tab of your spellbook. Only spells listed under “Shadow Magic”, “Discipline”, or “General” are allowed. You are allowed to put points into all talent trees, but active abilities thus unlocked that are in the “Holy” tab of your spellbook are not allowed to be used.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point wielding a weapon. One-handed weapons, staves, and wands are not allowed. Upon logging in, unequip your weapon and never equip a new one. All off-hand items and fishing poles are allowed.

Paladin

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using a Blessing or Aura spell.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point equpping a melee weapon other than a two-handed mace.

Complete the Hardcore challenge without at any point using an immunity spell. Divine Shield, Divine Protection, Blessing of Protection, and Blessing of Freedom are not allowed.
